We Share One Heart … Always

        Sometimes
        we can hear the silence,
the silent song of the eternal,
        fleeting and beautiful,
        a hidden flower,
        the silent poetry of realization
bringing intuition to artists of the soul,
clarity and healing to keepers of the inner flame,
        the conscious silence
showing travelers of the inner path
the hidden beauty woven through all life,
        the intelligence that brings tulips
and the haunting cry of geese in flight
        across the winter sky.

We’re children of a conscious universe
        discovering its boundless soul
        woven through the silence,
        merging with the world,
        an almost inexpressible intelligence
        transforming into living beings,
        like music becoming visible
        as fluid patterns of light,
        or the subtle harmonies
        of gongs and chimes
forming shapes of symmetry and beauty
in the stillness of a water surface.

        And when the silence
finds its way into our heart,
        a poetry of wisdom
is whispered to our inner ear
        revealing the eternal,
the infinite and almost inexpressible, the Tao,
        becoming human
for the brief timespan of a life,
with a silent poetry of intuition
        bringing meaning
        woven through with synchronistic knowing,
the gentle universal soul blending through
        the fabric of our world
while all the fleeting moments of an early morning
echo with the haunting cry of birds,
and tea cools on a nearby table.
