Flowers in the Rain
And other moments
And then she slipped away,
leaving only half-remembered
echoes of her heart,
like memories of a dream,
like reflected sunlights’ dance
on the windblown ocean,
or her smile, and glance,
in the mirror of the cafe
where we met, that rainy day.
And though we’d shared
each others’ heart,
all separation was dissolved,
and the Universe knew
our joined heart as one,
there’s now no other trace,
just memories of our embrace,
echoes of those moments,
when our heart was one.
